FAQ

Quick answers about booking, coverage, accessibility, mileage, and day‑of logistics. If you don’t see your question here, reach out—we’re happy to help.

Are you a family‑owned business?

Yes—Sepia Motors is a family‑owned company based in Sacramento. You’ll always communicate directly with us, and we treat each booking with the same care we’d give our own family events.

Do you allow self‑driving?

For safety and preservation, vehicles are positioned by our handler. Limited self‑drive may be approved for a controlled send‑off with a chauffeur present—please ask during booking.

Where do you operate?

We serve Sacramento, Napa Valley, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Travel beyond this area can be arranged with additional mileage and logistics.

Are you insured?

Yes—commercial coverage for display and photo use. Venues may request a certificate of insurance (COI); we’re happy to provide one upon request.

What is required to book?

A 25% non‑refundable deposit secures your date. The balance is due 7 days before the event. We recommend booking early—peak weekends fill quickly.

How does mileage work?

For Sacramento‑area bookings, packages that include local driving cover up to 30 road miles total. Additional mileage is billed at $3/mi. Planning multiple locations or a longer route? We’ll map a simple plan in advance so timing stays smooth.

Do you offer chauffeur service?

Every booking includes a handler who stages and positions the car for photos. If you want to be driven in the vehicle (for a grand exit or on‑road moments), that’s when a chauffeur is added—$150/hour (2‑hour minimum). We’ll advise which option fits your plan.

What if the weather is bad?

We operate rain or shine. For severe weather, we can adjust timing or staging and suggest covered photo spots. We’ll coordinate with your planner/photographer to keep things smooth.

Can we decorate the car?

Yes—ribbons, signage, and light florals are welcome. We also offer tasteful styling packages. For anything adhesive or heavy, we’ll guide you to paint‑safe options.

Will you coordinate with our planner or photographer?

Absolutely. We work directly with your team on timing, access, and positioning so you get clean, efficient setups and picture‑ready results.

What are the vehicle rules on site?

Please don’t lean or sit on the vehicles unless directed by our team. We actively assist your photographer with shot setup—positioning the car, adjusting angles, and providing safe, stable posing options so everything looks great and stays protected.

Can we rent more than one car at a time?

Yes—subject to availability. We can stage multiple vehicles at one venue or stagger arrivals across locations. Ask about multi‑car packages and timing options.

Is there support for physical accessibility?

We’re happy to accommodate accessibility needs. Our handler can position vehicles close to accessible routes and ramps, and we’ll plan safe, stable posing options. Some classics sit lower than modern cars; we’ll discuss comfort and assistive approaches in advance.

Do you recommend photographers or videographers?

Yes—we maintain a short list of trusted photographers and filmmakers in Sacramento, Napa, and the Bay Area. Tell us your style and budget, and we’ll share tailored recommendations.

How far in advance should we book?

Peak season (May–October) fills quickly. If you can, book 6–12 weeks ahead. For off‑season dates, we can often accommodate shorter notice.
